Hi, my name is Ladislav Martincik and I’m originally from Czech Republic but currently living in Barcelona, Spain. I’m very enjoying staying in BCN and learning Spanish language.

My profession is Software Engineer and I’m holding Master Degree in Computer Science from Technical University of Ostrava. I’m currently working for German company called Xing.

Very shortly here are some technologies/stuff I really enjoy to work with every day: Ruby, Mac, TextMate, Vim, Zsh, Linux/Unix, iPhone.
Technical stuff I’m learning and exploring in present time: Collaborative filtering, Scalable software design, Clustering, Advanced Linux/Unix administration, iPhone development.

In my personal life when I’m not spending time with my beautiful girlfriend or lying on the beach I do read a lot of books, articles; constantly thinking how to improve my life or how to be better Programmer, Developer, Designer, Person, Friend, Boyfriend.

These are the domains that currently dominates in my life: Engineering, Self-improvement, Business ideas/development.
